Vectif

Hello! Welcome to my website.

ABOUT

Hey. My name is Ramiro, and I'm an internet weirdo. I was born on August 5th 2000, and I live in La Plata, Argentina. I'm a deeply passionate hobbyist with interests in mostly anything that mildly interests me. I've been using computers passionately ever since I was 11, and I first began getting into music at the age of 14 - when I got my first bass guitar. Computers and the internet have always played an important role in my life and it certainly has made me the person I am today. Most of what I do gravitates towards computer-related things. I love working on projects of all kinds and I constantly mess around with music, videos, games, and sometimes programming aswell; I am a very self-taught person by nature, so everything I tend to do usually comes from the results of my own experimentation and interest. I love art/music collectives and development teams, and I would really like to be able to work on a whole lot of different projects in the future.

I have a lot of nostalgia for the early days of the internet and most things 2000s. I grew up with the PS2 and most of my favourite games are the same as back then. I absolutely adore anything related to PS1 and PS2 graphics, open world and sandbox games, simulation, and rally. I've always listened to a lot of music and I've tried to be as open-minded as I can be about it, listening to a wide variety of genres almost all the time, I spent at least 90% of my time in school and college with at least one earbud on. When I was a kid I'd spend a lot of my time watching music videos on MTV, and I'm sure that's the reason for my obsession with music videos. I am passionate about exotic and extended range instruments (I own a 7-string guitar and a 6-string bass!) and I love Trackers as music making software, most of my musical work is done entirely in OpenMPT. If I'm ever able to, I'd absolutely love to collect old synthesizers such as the TR707, 808, 909, the TB303, and the SH101. I would also love to have a Theorbo someday. Among other strange interests, I also would like to own a 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle someday. I love independent media and homemade/DIY things. I've always had a hard time finding people who liked the same things I did, specially musically, so that's when I got an audio interface so that I could record all instruments by myself since I couldn't ever find a band. However, as time passed, I began to dwelve with electronic music more and more, I still love my bass and my guitar, and I'd love to use them in more of my productions, but there's an interesting endless freedom and potential for creativity with electronic music that is hard to find anywhere else.

Most of what I enjoy and like to do is usually around the creation of things of any sort. As such, I'm always on the lookout for things to do and work on solely for fun and to create something new. I've done various things from translation, to modding, making music, and videos. One of my first online interactions was in ROBLOX, and I believe it was one of the few things that pushed me to be resourceful and creative way into the future, however, it's not the same now as it was a decade ago, but that's where I found the enjoyment of creating my own things, of wondering how things worked, so I could do them myself! A practice I continue to this day. Not only that, but I also met a lot of wonderful friends, and even learned how to speak English by myself.

I always love to learn and work on new things, so I'm always interested in excuses to make stuff. I'm weird at socializing, but I'm always interested and intrigued in meeting new people. My mind tends to often be a very chaotic place, but I try to work the best I can out of it, I love to indulge in just about any creative endavours. I'm not sure what else could be said, but maybe I'll update this page in the future. So yeah, that's a bit of my background, and since you are here, I hope you've enjoyed something I've made, or that anything has been inspiring or helpful to you. I hope to continue growing as a person and as an artist in the following years!

Thank you.
